Shown winning the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown Park, 1935, from Fair Trial, who finished third. Windsor Lad is by Blandford out of Respendent and won the Derby in 1934 for HH The Maharajah of Rajpipla. He was subsequently sold to Mr H H Benson for £50, 000 in whose colours he won the 1934 St Leger. His other chief successes were the Newmarket Stakes, 1934, the Great Yorkshire Stakes in 1934, and the Rous Memorial Stakes, Ascot, in 1935. He is now retired to the Stud.
