The CM34 race series showcased an exciting lineup of drivers and cars in the 1980s. Peter Fisk and his Opel Commodore 2800 GS-E (CM34 3925) battled it out with the VW Scirocco of Cameron Evans and Mat Jackson (CM34 3909). Richard Butterfield and Peter Dorlin took the Ford Capri 3 litre S (CM34 3906) to new heights, while Tim Clarke and Ken Clarke pushed their Triumph Dolomite Sprint (CM34 3903) to the limit. Paul Clayson and Chris Snowdon brought the Alfa Romeo GTV6 (CM34 3902) into the mix, with James Gibbons and Alex Jupe following closely in their Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV (CM34 3901). David Irwin's Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV (CM34 3900) and Jonny Horsfield's Alfetta GTV (CM3909) were also contenders, as was David Margulies with his Alfa Romeo GTV6 (CM34 3898).
