Model of Pembroke College Chapel CC72_00096

A model of the 17th century Chapel at Pembroke College, University Of Cambridge, Trumpington Street, Cambridge. This image is printed in the RCHME Inventory Volume: City of Cambridge, Part One. The model was discovered in 1923 in the organ-gallery and is believed to be contemporary with the 17th century chapel. It is made of pinewood and had a removeable roof cover, which is now lost. Photographed in 1954

Samson And Hercules House, Tombland, Norwich, Norfolk. The front elevation of Samson and Hercules House, showing the building before alterations in 1890, when the figures of Samson and Hercules were inserted to support the porch. In 1944 a fire destroyed all but the ground floor. The building was subsequently rebuilt. Photographed between 1875-1880

GREAT HALL, Hampton Court Palace, Richmond-upon-Thames, London. The Great Hall at Hampton Court Palace was built for Henry VIII in 1523-4 to replace Cardinal Wolsey's hall. The painted hammerbeam roof has ornately carved pendants. The tapestries date from a similar period. Photographed by Bedford Lemere in 1890
