DOWN HOUSE, Kent. Interior view of the "Preparation Room" - the New Study converted to school use. The house was first used as a school in 1907 by the Downe House School for Girls. When this school moved to larger premises in 1922 another school took residency, but by 1927 the house was up for sale.
