Naval group, mostly relatives of Queen Victoria, including (left to right): Prince Alfred Duke of Edinburgh and Duke of Saxe-Coburg Gotha (second son); possibly Prince Leopold Duke of Albany (grandson); Edward Prince of Wales (eldest son and soon to be King Edward VII, seated); Prince Henry of Prussia (grandson); probably Prince Louis of Battenberg (grandson by marriage); Prince George Duke of York (grandson, later to be George V).
This photograph must predate 1900 when Prince Alfred passed away, handing the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg Gotha to his nephew Leopold

Taken before 1900, the image showcases a gathering of naval princes at Queen Victoria's Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. The princes, mostly relatives of the monarch, include (left to right): Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and Duke of Saxe-Coburg Gotha, the second son of Queen Victoria; a possible Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany, grandson of Queen Victoria; Edward, Prince of Wales, the eldest son and future King Edward VII, seated; Prince Henry of Prussia, grandson of the monarch; and probably Prince Louis of Battenberg, grandson by marriage. Prince Alfred, the Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, is notable for his naval career, having served in the British Royal Navy, and his tragic death in 1899.
