Brodsworth Main Colliery EPW012843
BRODSWORTH MAIN COLLIERY, Adwick-le-Street, South Yorkshire. Aerial photograph taken in May 1925. The Colliery was opened in 1905 and closed in 1990. The radial housing estate that can be seen at the top of the picture is part of the model village of Woodlands that was originally built for the colliery workers. This picture clearly shows railway sidings and coal trucks as well as a wide variety of pit head structures. Taken from a copy negative. Aerofilms Collection (see Links)

A Star Class steam locomotive passing along part of the South Devon and Tavistock Railway. This view possibly looking south-west along the stretch of line East of Plymouth near Crabtree or Marsh Mills and beside the River Plym. Part of the Early Photographic Print Collection, included in a batch of photos mostly showing Cornish railway engineering. Date uncertain

BODMIN ROAD STATION, St Winnow, Cornwall. Four tracklayers at work. In 1888 the Great Western Railway made a branch line from Boscarne Junction to Bodmin Road Station, which is now known as Bodmin Parkway Station. This linked the area to the main railway network. Alfred Newton and Son 1901
