EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the vibrant atmosphere of the annual Gala Day held at the Laing Sports Ground in Elstree, Greater London, on 9th June 1973. In this particular moment frozen in time, police dog handlers proudly lead their loyal companions during a thrilling demonstration that left spectators in awe. The Gala Day was a true celebration of community spirit and brought together over 2,000 people from all walks of life. The festivities were diverse and catered to everyone's interests. Model aircraft soared through the sky as children raced with excitement. The Royal British Legion band filled the air with patriotic melodies while sports enthusiasts cheered on their favorite teams. One of the highlights of this event was undoubtedly witnessing the incredible obedience displayed by these well-trained police dogs and their skilled handlers.
