From left to right: Jackie Hobbs, Doris McSweeney, Mary Coldicott, Molly Thompson, Mary Simmons and Angela Gold. Mary Coldicott began working for the Laing company in 1971 in the accounts department. She then spent nearly three years as a cashier before moving to the Pensions/Investment Department. The negative register records the location of the photo as the Carlisle Building

This print captures a joyous moment in the retirement presentation of Mary Coldicott, an esteemed member of Laing company. Six women are seen posing with celebratory drinks, radiating happiness and camaraderie. Standing proudly third from the left is Mary Coldicott herself, surrounded by her dear colleagues. Published in the September 1986 edition of Laings monthly Team Spirit newsletter, this image reflects the strong sense of community within the company. From left to right, we have Jackie Hobbs, Doris McSweeney, Mary Coldicott, Molly Thompson, Mary Simmons and Angela Gold – each one contributing their unique talents to Laing's success. Mary Coldicott's journey with Laing began in 1971 when she joined the accounts department. After nearly three years as a cashier, she found her calling in the Pensions/Investment Department where she made significant contributions over the years. The location for this memorable photograph was recorded as the Carlisle Building on the negative register. It serves as a testament to not only Mary's remarkable career but also to the cherished friendships formed during her time at Laing. As we gaze upon this snapshot frozen in time, we can't help but feel inspired by these incredible women who exemplify dedication and unity.
