Telegraph Pole Weather Tractor

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we are transported back to the stormy winter of January 1990 in Fowey, Cornwall. The image captures a powerful scene of destruction as a fallen tree lies across the Fowey to Lostwithiel road near Castle Dore. A determined digger is seen at work, valiantly removing the obstacle and restoring order to this once serene landscape. The storms that ravaged through the night and into the next day left an indelible mark on this picturesque region. Caravans at a nearby site were no match for nature's fury as they were mercilessly flipped over by the relentless winds. Photographer Jonathan Barker expertly freezes this moment in time, allowing us to witness both the raw power of Mother Nature and humanity's resilience in its aftermath. This photograph serves as a testament to Cornish weather's unpredictability and unyielding force. The fallen telegraph pole stands tall amidst debris, symbolizing both communication disrupted and community strength tested during these trying times. As we gaze upon this poignant image, our hearts go out to those affected by such calamity. It reminds us of our vulnerability in face of nature's might but also highlights our ability to come together and rebuild what has been lost.
