Members of Fowey Weightlifting Club about to set off for John O Groats in Scotland, where two of them will cycle and walk back to Lands End in Cornwall. In this heartwarming print captured in September 1992, we are transported back to Fowey, Cornwall, where a group of dedicated individuals from the Fowey Weightlifting Club embark on an extraordinary journey for a noble cause. Pictured here are Louis Hunkin and Glynn Wellington, two brave members of the club who will be cycling and walking their way from John O Groats in Scotland all the way down to Lands End in Cornwall. Their goal is to cover an impressive distance of 889 miles over just 20 days while averaging 30 miles per day on their bicycles and an additional 15 miles by foot. Accompanied by support drivers Mike Elliott and Andrew Barley, this inspiring team showcases true camaraderie as they set off on this arduous yet rewarding adventure.
