The image captures a nostalgic scene from May 1939, where we find ourselves standing at the end of a street as our gaze follows a horse-drawn cart approaching towards us. The atmosphere is bustling with activity as we take in the details on either side of the street. To our left, there is a car park that seems to be filled with vintage automobiles of that era. Adjacent to it stands an old petrol station adorned with a distinctive petrol pump – an iconic symbol of bygone days when fueling up was still done manually. Our eyes are then drawn further down the street towards a house which now serves as the site for a supermarket carpark.
