Step back in time with this photograph of Smithfield Market in Birmingham during the late 1890s. The bustling urban scene is a feast for the eyes, filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of a thriving Victorian marketplace. At the heart of the image, a steam tram makes its way down Moat Row towards Smithfield Street, its billowing plume of steam a testament to the industrial might of the era.
