Throughout the war the British Railways Press Office issued a series of booklets that outlined the official story of the railways at war. This image shows the cover of the final booklet that was published in 1945 at the end of the conflict. It Can Now Be Revealed does exactly what it says on the cover - it reveals, in detail, the role of the railways during the war years. Prior to this some of the details were shrouded in secrecy, especially information relating to munitions work at railway factories
