Surrounded by an array of pressure gauges, he is diligently carrying out his scientific duties. The construction of this state-of-the-art brewery was undertaken by John Laing Construction Ltd and completed in 1963. The architects and engineers from Group Technical Services collaborated with Arthur Guinness, Son and Company Limited to design this magnificent facility. It quickly became a symbol of innovation and excellence within the brewing industry. Over the years, Harp Lager Brewery underwent several ownership changes - first acquired by Bass in 1979 before eventually falling under the umbrella of Molson Coors. Sadly, its doors closed for good in 2015. This photograph not only showcases the technological advancements prevalent during the 1960s but also pays homage to those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to create one of England's most renowned breweries. It serves as a reminder that science and technology have always played integral roles in shaping our world.
