EDITORS COMMENTS
Great moments in Arsenal Football Club history are abundant, but some stand out more than others. The image of Robert Pires finding an unmarked Sylvain Wiltord in the box to score the winning goal against Manchester United in the 2005 Champions League final comes to mind. However, Arsenal fans will also never forget the unforgettable double strike by Joseph-Desire Job against Leicester City on May 15,2004, at Highbury, London. The FA Premiership match between Arsenal and Leicester City was a crucial one for the Gunners, who were fighting for the league title against Chelsea. Arsenal was leading 1-0, but the Foxes were pressing hard to equalize. In the 83rd minute, Leicester's Steve Guppy was shown a red card for a foul on Fredrik Ljungberg, leaving the visitors with ten men. With the advantage, Arsenal pressed forward, and in the 86th minute, the ball found its way to the feet of Robert Pires on the right wing. He sent a pinpoint cross into the box, and there was Job, unmarked, to head home the second goal for Arsenal. The crowd erupted in cheers, and Arsenal was now just one goal away from securing the title. But the drama was far from over. In stoppage time, Job was once again in the right place at the right time. This time, it was a rebound from a Thierry Henry shot that fell to Job, and he made no mistake, slotting the ball home to secure a 2-0 victory for Arsenal. The FA Premiership title was theirs, and the Arsenal faithful went wild. This image of Job celebrating his double strike against Leicester City is a reminder of the thrilling moments that have come to define Arsenal Football Club. It's a moment that will live on in the memories of Arsenal fans for generations to come.
