Speed and Style - Markus Neisius at the Helm of Maserati's Iconic 6CM

As the sun shines down on Goodwood Circuit in West Sussex, England, a glimpse into motorsport history is captured here. At the wheel of his trusty Maserati 6CM, German driver Markus Neisius takes to the track for twenty minutes of high-octane racing during the Parnell Cup event at the 81st Members Meeting. The year was 1935-1953, and Formula 2 cars like this one were among the fastest on four wheels. With its sleek design and powerful engine, Neisius' Maserati is a force to be reckoned with as it zooms around Goodwood's iconic corners. The Voiturette class may have been smaller in stature but packed just as much punch. This photograph, taken by Chris McEvoy of CJM Photography at the 2024 Members Meeting, brings back memories of an era when racing was a thrilling spectacle and drivers like Neisius were true heroes on four wheels. For those who love classic cars and circuit racing, this image is pure nostalgia heaven - so sit back, enjoy the speed and style on display, and relive the thrill of Goodwood's rich motorsport heritage.
