"This photograph captures the intense focus and determination of driver Ed Keen as he navigates the iconic Brands Hatch Circuit in his Austin Mini Cooper S during the Equipe Classic Racing's thirty minute one driver race for pre-1966 cars on Sunday, 24th March 2024. The event, held at the historic Longfield, Kent venue in England, attracted a large crowd of motorsport enthusiasts eager to witness the thrilling competition between closed wheel GT cars and tin tops. Ed's Mini Cooper S, proudly displaying the Equipe Libre livery, is a classic example of the racing cars that once dominated the tracks of Great Britain and beyond. Shod with Dunlop historic CR65 L section tyres, the car's vintage appearance is further enhanced by its retro racing number and period correct graphics. The race, run under FIA Appendix K regulations, saw Ed and his competitors battle it out on the Indy circuit, pushing their machines to the limit as they chased down the checkered flag.
