"Amidst the thrilling atmosphere of the HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship with Ecurie Classic at Silverstone, Northamptonshire, England, on the 16th of October 2022, Adrian Oliver and his Hillman Imp took to the iconic Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit. This 20-minute race brought together a diverse array of historic racing cars, spanning engine capacities from as small as four pots below 1150cc to powerful multi-litre V8s. Cars dating from around 1947 up to 1969 graced the track, creating a captivating blend of nostalgia and speed. The HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship with Ecurie Classic is a unique event that combines several classifications into one exhilarating race. The day featured a wide range of categories, including GT cars, production sports cars, tin tops, and pre-66 Club Racing GT. The event was open to historic motor racing enthusiasts, attracting a multitude of classic cars and retro racing machines. Adrian Oliver, a dedicated motorsport enthusiast, skillfully maneuvered his Hillman Imp around the challenging Silverstone circuit, leaving a trail of dust and determination in his wake. The Hillman Imp, a British classic, was shod with Dunlop tyres, ensuring optimal performance and grip on the track. FIA Appendix K regulations governed the race, adding an extra layer of excitement and authenticity to the event.
