The CJ12 3552 Robert Ingram, Iain Rowley, Lotus Elite S2 is a true icon on the track, competing in the RAC Pall Mall Cup for pre '66 GT and Touring Cars as well as pre '63 GTs and pre '60 Sports Cars. This three-hour endurance race at Silverstone Grand Prix Motor Circuit in Northamptonshire, England was filled with excitement as multiple drivers took turns behind the wheel, necessitating pit stops and in-race refuelling.
The Historic Racing Drivers Club (HRDC) event showcased some of the most legendary cars in motorsport history, including this beautiful Lotus Elite S2. With entrants divided into five classes and further split into sub-classes, there was no shortage of competition on the track.
As spectators cheered from the sidelines, these historic racing cars roared past in a display of speed and nostalgia. The camaraderie among teams was evident throughout the race, culminating in a Team Award for those featuring three cars from amongst the classes.
