After retiring as a player, he managed Everton from 1973 to 1977, leading them to the FA Cup final in 1985. Jim Greenwood, another Everton legend, passed away on December 28,2016, at the age of 73. He spent 11 years at Goodison Park, making 326 appearances and scoring 37 goals between 1964 and 1975. Greenwood was a key member of the Everton team that won the League Championship in 1969-70 and the FA Cup in 1966. The minutes applause was a fitting tribute to these two Everton greats, who left an indelible mark on the club's history.
