Crafted from brass, this badge features crossed lances and the unit monogram, symbolizing the strength and unity of this esteemed cavalry regiment. The Calcutta Volunteer Lancers served as a precursor to the renowned Calcutta Light Horse, an auxiliary unit that played a vital role in the Indian Army Cavalry Reserve.
