Man hielt sich vielerlei Geflugel, darunter auch seltenes und kostspieliges, doch nicht nur zur Belebung der Speisekarte. Man hatte auch seine Freude an den Tieren und umgab sich gern mit prunkhaft aussehendem Federvich. Translation: Poultry Farm. Poultry farming was always one of the landlady's special tasks. After all, it was important to provide the table with this particularly prized roast. A wide variety of poultry was kept, including rare and expensive ones, but not just to enliven the menu. People also took pleasure in the animals and liked to surround themselves with pompous-looking poultry.
