The hoof belonged to 'Jubilee', the loyal companion ridden by Captain Arthur Shakespear during the Battle of Waterloo. As part of the 3rd Regiment of Dragoons and 10th Regiment of (Light) Dragoons (Hussars), Shakespear bravely led his troops into battle, with 'Jubilee' carrying him through the chaos and turmoil of war.
