How films are made: Make-up Man on Set (colour litho)
8660312 How films are made: Make-up Man on Set (colour litho) by English School, (20th century); Private Collection; (add.info.: Make-up Man on Set. After the artists taking part in a film have been made-up, and perhaps a few "shots" have been taken, it very often happens that make-up becomes damaged in some way. The greatest enemy of the make-up man is the intense heat of the studio, generated by the powerful arc lamps, and a very careful watch is kept for anything that might spoil the picture. When a fault is noticed the filming is immediately stopped and the damaged make-up is repaired.
