The soldiers in the foreground are shown manning a Rifle Pit in the British Left attack, also know as ChapmanAs Attack. Below them to the right, the Vorontsov road runs down to SevastopolAs Dockyard Creek; the waterAs edge is protected by the Russian Strand Battery. On the high ground to the right, the Barrack Battery is well-placed to sweep any attack made from this direction.
