In Greek mythology, Perseus, son of the mortal DanaA and the god Zeus, saved Andromeda from the sea monster Cetus. He is about to rescue her from the gigantic open jaws and frightful teeth as she stands with outstretched arms, one hand apparently chained to the crags. Perseus flies in with his lyre and winged shoes and is greeted by Andromedas grateful father.
