Pope Julius II bid farewell to earthly existence within his tomb erected between 1505-1545 by none other than Michelangelo himself. This sacred resting place paid homage to a great pontiff whose legacy would endure throughout history. Michelangelo also immortalized Moses through his masterful statue created from marble during these very years (1513-1515).
