"1536: A Year of Intrigue and Turmoil" In the year 1536, the stage was set for a dramatic series of events that would forever change the course of history. Meanwhile, William Tyndale and Whittock were busy weaving their words into pages that challenged established norms. Their writings ignited sparks of religious reform across England and beyond. Thomas Cromwell Earl of Essex emerged as a key figure during this tumultuous time.
