However, not all aspects of life were idyllic; mental health treatment faced challenges illustrated by haunting depictions such as "Melancholy and Raving Madness" within Bedlam Hospital walls. This serves as a reminder that progress often comes hand-in-hand with struggles yet to be overcome. Artistic endeavors continued to flourish throughout Europe despite political turmoil. Paul Delaroche's painting "Napoleon at Fontainebleau During the First Abdication" portrayed one of history's most significant moments when Napoleon stepped down from power in 1814. Meanwhile Marie Louise, former Empress of France, represented the shifting dynamics within European royalty.
