Amongst the contenders were renowned names like Carl Fogarty (Honda), Graeme McGregor (Kawasaki), Eddie Laycock (Yamaha), George Linder (Yamaha), Eddie Roberts (Kimoco), Derek Chatterton (Yamaha), Steve Hislop (Honda), Steve Hazlett (EMC), Mick Williams (Yamaha), Ian Jones (Yamaha) and James Rae (Yamaha). As the engines roared to life, anticipation filled the air. Carl Fogarty showcased his exceptional skills astride his Honda machine, determined to claim glory in this prestigious event. However, he faced stiff competition from Graeme McGregor on his Kawasaki who was equally determined to secure victory. Eddie Laycock on his Yamaha displayed remarkable speed and precision throughout the race. His fearless riding style kept spectators at the edge of their seats as he pushed boundaries with every turn.
