Adolf Frederick was the King of Sweden from 1751 until his death in 1771. Known for his extravagant lifestyle and love of food, he earned the nickname "the king who ate himself to death." Despite being a well-intentioned ruler, Adolf Frederick's reign was marked by financial difficulties and conflicts with neighboring countries. His untimely demise at the age of 60 left a legacy of excess and mismanagement that overshadowed his efforts to improve the welfare of his people. Today, Adolf Frederick is remembered as a cautionary tale about the dangers of indulgence and neglecting one's responsibilities as a leader.
