Andre Thevet (1504-1592) was a renowned French explorer, cartographer, and author of the 16th century. His works encompassed various aspects of history, geography, and culture from around the world. One of his notable contributions was documenting South American cannibals during his travels. Through vivid descriptions and illustrations, he shed light on their customs and practices, providing valuable insights into this intriguing civilization.
