Anne Morgan was a trailblazing American philanthropist and socialite who dedicated her life to helping others. Born into wealth and privilege, she used her resources to support various causes, including women's rights, education, and healthcare. Morgan was known for her tireless advocacy work on behalf of marginalized communities, particularly during World War I. She founded the American Friends of France organization to provide aid to French civilians affected by the war and later established the Committee for Devastated France to assist in post-war reconstruction efforts. In addition to her humanitarian efforts, Morgan was also a passionate supporter of the arts. She helped fund numerous cultural institutions and initiatives, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Despite facing criticism from some quarters for her unconventional lifestyle and outspoken views, Anne Morgan remained steadfast in her commitment to making a positive impact on society. Her legacy continues to inspire generations of activists and philanthropists today.
