Reflecting on a century of bravery and dedication, the LFB150 anniversary brings forth memories that ignite our hearts like firefighters and hoses in action. From the LFB annual review at Lambeth HQ to Coltishalls At Home day, we celebrate the unwavering commitment of No20 Squadron RAF members. Reminiscing the King George V Silver Jubilee celebrations captured on ILN cover in 1935, we honor their legacy. Revving up with power and style, the Harley Davidson V-Rod Anniversary symbolizes resilience as it roars through time. The historic LCC-MFB Red Cross Street fire station stands tall, reminding us of London's firefighting heritage during LFB150. Even Girl Guides Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret sent couriers to support this noble cause. Looking back at history's evolution, a 1909 cartoon featuring Darwin and apes by Haeckel reminds us of our journey towards progress. Celebrating Czechoslovakia's 20 years with a commemorative card fills us with pride for unity and growth. As we gather for a grand dinner hosted by Alexander Duckham at the prestigious Savoy Hotel, we toast to achievements that have shaped our lives. The Wolverton Mechanics Institute soiree echoes laughter and camaraderie shared over generations. In an iconic moment etched forever in time, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth grace us with their presence during this monumental anniversary celebration in 1948. Their regal aura inspires us to continue striving for excellence as we embark on another chapter filled with courage, honor, and gratitude.
