Gooch emerged victorious as she claimed her title as Miss Betting Shop winner. Hailing from Kenton near Harrow, she embodied grace and confidence amidst fierce competition. Looking back into history through St. Stephens Review Presentation Cartoon dated 17 September 1887 revealed Doncaster's enduring love affair with horse racing – an event steeped in tradition where betting thrived alongside sporting excellence. And then there was Cheltenham Jumps Festival – an annual celebration where adrenaline soared higher than ever before.
