"Bisons: Majestic Giants of the American Plains" In the vast wilderness of Wyoming, USA, roams a magnificent creature known as the bison. These iconic animals, commonly called buffalo, hold a significant place in North America's natural history. Weighing up to a staggering 2000 pounds, male they can the heaviest land mammals on this continent. Once upon a time, these mighty beasts faced near-extinction by 1894 due to rampant hunting. Recognizing their importance and ecological value, Congress swiftly passed the National Park Protective Act to safeguard their future. Today, thanks to conservation efforts and protected areas like Yellowstone National Park - where herds freely graze in Hayden Valley with the picturesque Yellowstone River as their backdrop - bison populations have made an inspiring recovery. Beyond Wyoming's borders lies another unexpected home for these incredible creatures – Thailand. Farmers in this faraway land have embraced bison farming practices and integrated them into their agricultural landscapes.
