"Reviving the Glory of British Karting History: The British Historic Kart Club" Step back in time and witness the exhilarating world of vintage kart racing with the British Historic Kart Club. Established in 2002 by passionate enthusiasts, this club is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich heritage of karting in Britain. One iconic figure that stands out is Steve Courts (CM12 0702), a true legend behind the wheel. With his trusty Blow Mistral powered by Villers 9E engine, he dominated tracks across the country, leaving competitors in awe. Another name etched into karting history is Nigel Young (CM11 9755). Armed with his powerful Blow Whirlwind and Villiers 9E engine combo, he showcased unmatched skill on every circuit he conquered. In 1963, Allan MacVarish (CM3 9276) made waves with his lightning-fast Fastakart Featherweight equipped with a Villiers 9E engine. His record-breaking performances left spectators breathless as they witnessed pure speed at its finest. The year was 1968 when Cheyene Brown (CJ5 4068) took center stage. Racing on a Zip-Parilla powered by a mighty 100cc engine, Brown's fearless spirit propelled him to new heights as he fearlessly tackled every corner. Allan MacVarish returned to make history once again with his Dale Cutlass powered by Villiers 9E (CM26 7704). This formidable combination solidified MacVarish's status as one of the most talented drivers of his time. Robbie Ashton (CM26 7795) proved himself worthy behind the wheel of Ray Scott's Barlotti kart featuring a potent Villiers 9E engine. His remarkable skills earned him well-deserved recognition among fellow racers and fans alike.
