In the picturesque town of Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire, in 1935, the Bugatti Type 37 roared to life during the Bugatti Owners Club Hill Climb. The CM27 4035 Hugo Baldy was a sight to behold as it effortlessly conquered the challenging terrain. Fast forward two years to Broadway, Worcestershire, where an artist named Bill Brunell captured the essence of Bugattis at a Bugatti Owners Club meeting. The vibrant painting showcased these magnificent machines in all their glory. Meanwhile, at Brooklands in 1933, spectators were treated to a thrilling display of speed and power. The Harker Special driven by W. E. Harker shared the track with another impressive contender - John Appleton's Bugatti Type 37. These iconic cars left onlookers awestruck as they raced around the circuit. Bill Brunell's artistic talent once again came into play when he depicted cars lined up at the start of a BARC race at Brooklands in 1930. His brushstrokes perfectly captured both the anticipation and excitement that filled the air. Moving south to Sussex in 1937, H. Pownall took part in the exhilarating Bugatti Owners Club Lewes Speed Trials with his trusty Bugatti Type 37. This event brought together enthusiasts who marveled at these incredible vehicles pushing their limits. Back at Brooklands in another BARC race meeting from yesteryear (1930), Bill Brunell's artistry transported us back to witness cars revving up for yet another adrenaline-fueled competition. Traveling across borders and time zones takes us to Boulogne Motor Week in France during its heyday back in1928. A stunning image painted by Bill Brunell showcases a sleek Bugatti Type 37 near St Martin – truly capturing its elegance amidst this prestigious event.
