This particular model served under the prestigious United States Air Force's 412th Test Wing at Edwards Air Force Base around the mid-'90s. Its presence during that era marked significant advancements in aviation technology. Another noteworthy mention goes to a Short C23A Sherpa with tail number 84–0458 (MSN SH. 3103). Originally built as G14–3103 before being transferred to the US Air Force's inventory as part of their fleet operated by the renowned Edwards Air Force Base's testing wing circa '95.
