Step into the mesmerizing world of a cabinet of curiosities, where ancient myths and legends come to life through intricately crafted statues. Each sculpture tells its own story, captivating the imagination and transporting you to a realm of wonder. Amongst this eclectic collection stands the majestic Statue of Bacchus, the Roman god of wine. Seated naked with a bunch of grapes in one hand and accompanied by a faithful dog, he embodies indulgence and merriment. Next to him is the striking Statue of Orestes, son of Agamemnon from Greek mythology. His naked form symbolizes vulnerability as he navigates his tumultuous fate. Awe-inspiring in her beauty is the Statue of Diana of Ephesus, also known as Artemis. Encased within an ornate pillar, her bare breasts challenge societal norms while exuding power and femininity. Urania takes center stage as she holds a pair of compasses, representing her role as muse for astronomy. Her statue inspires awe and curiosity about the vastness beyond our earthly realm. The prowess displayed by athletes comes alive through two remarkable sculptures: one depicting a victorious disc thrower basking in his triumph; another showcasing an athlete holding aloft a vase symbolizing victory's sweet reward. Hercules Pomarius commands attention with his imposing figure wielding a large club. As both hero and god, he represents strength that transcends mortal boundaries. Bacchus returns once more alongside a playful satyr in celebration of wine's intoxicating allure—a testament to revelry and ecstasy shared throughout history. Mars stands tall with helmet and shield—an embodiment not only war but also courage in times when conflict looms large on humanity's horizon. Diana Venatrix captures hearts with her bow poised for action—Roman goddess personifying fierce independence amidst nature's untamed wilderness. Apollo Coelispex gazes skyward while clutching a flaming torch, his nude form radiating divine enlightenment—a beacon of knowledge and inspiration.
