Born in Anizy-le-Château, France, he eventually found himself crossing the Atlantic to leave his artistic legacy in the United States. In 1879, Carrier-Belleuse's masterpiece "In the Railway Carriage" emerged as a poignant portrayal of human emotions amidst modernity. Fast forward to World War I when his work became part of the Pantheon of War - a testament to its enduring relevance.
