The Channel Squadron, a formidable naval force, was a sight to behold. From the majestic arrival of the Czars at Leith to the impressive Transport Sarmatian passing by on its way to the Gold Coast, these engravings captured their grandeur. At Portland, an exhilarating sham fight showcased their readiness for battle. Types of the French Mediterranean and Channel Squadrons were documented in both black and white photographs and engravings, providing insight into their diverse capabilities. The flagship of the Channel Squadron, aptly named "Majestic, " stood proudly in a vibrant lithograph from 1901. Vice Admiral Sir Henry Frederick Stephenson, KCB, a key figure in our national defense during times of war, was immortalized in black and white photography. Evolution was evident as recent lithographs depicted maneuvers performed by both the Channel and Mediterranean Squadrons. Anchored off the iconic Forth Bridge on September 2nd, they commanded attention with their sheer presence. Even foreign dignitaries recognized their might when King Portugal visited them off Lisbon's coast. Vice-Admiral Sir H F Stephenson continued to be an influential leader within this esteemed squadron. Torpedo practice aboard one of their gunboats demonstrated precision and skill as they honed their abilities with unwavering dedication. The Channel Squadron embodied strength and unity as it patrolled our waters with unwavering commitment to protect our nation's interests.
