"Cidre: A Taste of Brittany's Rich Tradition and Flavors" In the picturesque region of Brittany, local Bretons gather joyously, dancing around a jug brimming with their beloved cidre. This traditional beverage holds deep cultural significance, symbolizing unity and celebration. Transporting us back to the 1920s, an enchanting illustration titled "C for Cider" captures the essence of this cherished drink. From there, we journey through time to witness children delightfully sipping cider in another captivating artwork called "C for Cider - D for Dodo - E for Kids. " Venturing beyond Brittany's borders, we find ourselves on Rue de la Jonquiere in Paris. Here, amidst bustling streets and charming bistros, locals indulge in the flavorsome delights of La Recolte des pommes en Normandie – an engraving that showcases apple harvesting in Normandy. The vibrant sounds of a gaita fill the air as we are transported to Champs de Mars during the universal exhibition of 1900. A talented musician captivates passersby with his melodic tunes while they relish glasses filled with crisp cidre. Exploring further into Parisian life, we stumble upon a bistro menu from rue Mouffetard dated August 15th, 1914 – just after mobilization began during World War I. Despite challenging times ahead, one can't help but notice how affordable victuals were at this particular establishment. A grand spectacle awaits us at the National Exposure of cids and pears where France proudly displays its finest produce. Amongst this extravaganza stands Au bon cidre de Normandie – an oasis offering oysters alongside shopping opportunities that transport visitors back to Paris in the 19th century. Our journey concludes at Caudebec-en-Caux on River Seine near Lillebonne where a magnificent Cider Fayre showcases a bountiful display of fruits and vegetables.
