In 1758-1805, Lord Nelson proudly donned his cockade as he led British naval forces to victory against formidable foes. This simple yet powerful accessory became synonymous with his unwavering courage and leadership on the high seas. During the tumultuous era of the French Revolution, Margaret Murray recruited fervent supporters for the Jacobites by distributing cockades adorned with their cause's colors.
