Fast forward to King Ethelred II The Unready's reign, and we encounter his unique coinage. Known for its intricate designs, these coins reflect the artistry and craftsmanship of that era. Transporting ourselves to London in 1904, horse-drawn vehicles and barrows fill Borough High Street. Amongst bustling crowds is an intriguing scene captured by HM Bateman - someone dropping a sixpence near Somerset House. A moment frozen in time, reminding us how even small incidents can captivate our attention.
