As we gaze upon the map of the British Army on that iconic WW2 poster, we are reminded of how committees strategized and coordinated efforts to defend our nation. The haunting question posed by a WWI poster asked if your home was here and urged citizens to defend it at all costs. This sentiment resonated deeply with those living in Liverpool slums in 1912 or seeking solace within Alexandra Palace's walls while listening to broadcasts from B. B. Recruitment posters further fueled this spirit by inviting individuals whose cap fit perfectly into an army life or encouraging Sheffield residents not to panic but be prepared for potential invasion threats. Through these glimpses into history captured by various images and artifacts, one thing becomes clear - committees have been instrumental in mobilizing nations towards common goals. Whether it be defending our homes or fighting alongside comrades on distant battlefields, their influence has shaped generations past and present.
