The cormorant, a majestic bird known for its fishing prowess, has captivated people around the world. In traditional Chinese culture they can an integral part of the Li River landscape near Xingping and Guilin. At sunrise, as the golden rays illuminate the horizon, fishermen with their loyal cormorant companions embark on a mesmerizing journey along the river. On the West Coast of North America, a double-crested cormorant spreads its wings wide open in a breathtaking display.
