Cornelis van der Voort was a renowned Dutch painter who lived and worked during the period of 1660-1672. He is best known for his stunning portraits, which captured the essence and character of his subjects with great precision. One of his notable works is "Stone Bridge, " a masterpiece that showcases Van der Voort's exceptional talent in landscape painting. Inspired by the works of Jan van der Heyden, this piece beautifully captures the serenity and beauty of nature. Another remarkable portrait by Van der Voort is that of Jacobus Rolandus, a counter-remonstrants pastor from 1562-1632. This particular artwork demonstrates Van der Voort's ability to capture not only physical likeness but also the inner spirit and personality of his subjects.
