From the aftermath of a devastating fire at Tehidy in February 1919 to the grandeur of Mount Edgcumbe House, these estates have witnessed both triumphs and tribulations throughout the years. In 1962, Mount Edgcumbe House stood proudly amidst its picturesque surroundings in Maker, Cornwall. Its elegant architecture and lush gardens were a testament to the opulence enjoyed by its inhabitants. Fast forward to that same year, and we catch another glimpse of Mount Edgcumbe's timeless beauty - a true gem frozen in time. Meanwhile, Pentillie Castle exuded an air of enchantment as it graced Pillaton with its presence. In 1975, this magnificent castle stood tall against a backdrop of rolling hills and serene waters. Its walls whispered tales from centuries past, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in its rich heritage. But not all stories are filled with joyous moments; tragedy struck Tehidy on Whit Monday, May 20th, 1918 when fire ravaged through its grounds.
