"Inside the Halls of Justice: A Glimpse into the World of Courtrooms" Step back in time to 1878 as William Frederick Yeames captures a poignant moment with his painting "And when did you last see your father?" The emotions run high within these walls, where justice is sought and lives are changed forever. In "The Barrister, " depicted on canvas, we witness the tireless efforts of legal professionals who navigate the intricate web of laws and regulations. Their expertise shines through as they defend their clients' rights in both the Court of Exchequer and Court of Common Pleas. Venturing further down this captivating journey, we stumble upon John Tenniel's artwork titled "The King and Queen of Hearts in Court. " This whimsical piece transports us to a different realm altogether, reminding us that even within courtrooms, imagination can flourish. Breaking barriers and challenging norms, we encounter an inspiring image portraying "The first woman lawyer in France. " With her vibrant presence captured through color lithography, she symbolizes progress towards gender equality within the legal profession. H. M. Bateman's illustration titled "Jurisprudence" brings humor to our exploration. Through clever wit and satire, it reminds us that amidst serious matters at hand, laughter can still find its place within these solemn halls. Traveling beyond borders to the Ottoman Empire's Topkapi Palace counsel room takes us on an exotic journey. Here lies evidence that courts have existed since ancient times across diverse cultures – a testament to humanity's quest for justice throughout history. Closer to home but no less fascinating is London's Central Criminal Court – The Old Bailey. In H. Melville’s engraving capturing its grandeur or black-and-white photography from yesteryears; it stands as a symbol of impartiality where truth triumphs over deceit. Amidst turbulent times during WW1, Sir Samuel Evans presides over Prize Courts in London.
